Rear-Admiral Ronald Cathcart Kemble Lambert, D.S.O., Royal Navy, Retired (17 June, 1874 – 31 October, 1950) was an officer of the Royal Navy.
Life & Career
Lambert was appointed a Companion of the Distinguished Service Order (D.S.O.) on 31 May, 1916. The citation in The London Gazette read:
As Beachmaster on "V" Beach on 25th April, 1915, and subsequent days, by his coolness under fire, zeal, and energy, showeda magnificent example to his subordinates in a most difficult and dangerous position. Has since proved a most able assistant to
the Principal Naval Transport Officer, Mudros.[1]
In January 1916, Lambert assumed command of the second class protected cruiser Talbot. He remained in her until June 1918[2]
On 1 October, 1918, Lambert was appointed Chief of Staff to Vice-Admiral Sir Edward F. B. Charlton, Vice-Admiral Commanding on the East Coast of England.[3]
Lambert was placed on the Retired List at his own request dated 17 February, 1923.[4]
