Captain (retired) Robert Bradshaw Wilmot-Sitwell, C.B.E., R.N. ( – 1 July, 1946) was an officer in the Royal Navy.

Life & Career

The son of Barrister-at-Law F. T. Wilmot-Sitwell, Esq..[1]

Wilmot-Sitwell was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant on 15 September, 1916.[2]

Wilmot-Sitwell was appointed in command of the destroyer Tilbury on 6 May, 1920.[3]

Wilmot-Sitwell was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant-Commander on 15 September, 1924.[4]

Wilmot-Sitwell was promoted to the rank of Commander on 31 December, 1930.[5]

Placed on the Retired List at his own request on 23 August, 1937, Wilmot-Sitwell was promoted to the rank of Captain on 18 December, 1939.[6]

World War II

On 17 June, 1940, Wilmot-Sitwell superseded in command of the target yacht Atmah by Austin Charles Ackland.[7]
