Captain (retired) Richard Sacheverell Bateman, (16 November, 1831 – ) served in the Royal Navy.
Life & Career
Bateman was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant on 28 February, 1854.
Bateman was promoted to the rank of Commander on 11 September, 1965.
Bateman was invalided from his last command of Daphne on 24 November 1873 and was placed on the Retired List at the rank of Captain with an effective seniority of 1 October, 1873.
