Admiral Raymond Ames Spruance (July 3, 1886 – December 13, 1969) served in the United States Navy.

Life & Career

Spruance would become one of the most celebrated naval commanders in history when he commanded the American naval forces at the Battle of Midway alongside Frank Jack Fletcher.
