Commander (retired) Ralph Meyrick Hall, R.N. (11 April, 1885 – ) was an officer in the Royal Navy.

Life & Career

Hall was born in Broughton in Furness, the son of a solicitor, and entered the service direct from Conway 15 January, 1901.

Hall was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant on 1 October, 1906.

In April 1910 he passed the preliminary exam to be an interpreter in German.

Hall was appointed Lieutenant (I) & Commander of the first-class torpedo boat T.B. 19 on 10 September, 1912.[1]

Hall was appointed in command of the destroyer Earnest on 30 January, 1914.[2]

Hall was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant-Commander on 1 October, 1914.

Placed on the Retired List as medically unfit on 20 September, 1917.

Post-War

Hall was promoted to the rank of Commander (retired) on 11 April, 1925.
