Vice-Admiral Ralph Eliot, C.B.E., Royal Navy, (13 January, 1881 – 20 December, 1958) was an officer of the Royal Navy.

Life & Career

Eliot gained an impressive twelve months' time on passing out of Britannia.[1]

Eliot was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant on 15 January, 1902.[2]

Eliot was promoted to the rank of Commander on 30 June, 1913.[3]

Eliot was promoted to the rank of Captain on 30 June, 1918.[4]

Post-War

Eliot was appointed in command of H.M.S. Hercules on 15 May, 1920.[5]

In January 1925, he was appointed in command of the light cruiser Cleopatra.

Eliot was promoted to the rank of Rear-Admiral on 9 October, 1929, vice Oliver Backhouse. He was placed on the retired List on 10 October.[6][7]

Eliot was promoted to the rank of Vice-Admiral (retired) on 8 May, 1935.[8]
