Rear-Admiral Philip John Mack, D.S.O. (6 October, 1892 – ) served in the Royal Navy.

Life & Career

Born son to Captain P. P. Mack, formerly of the 12th Lancers.

Mack was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant on 15 September, 1914.[1]

He was placed on the Retired List on 15 June, 1916 as physically unfit.[2]

Post-War

Mack was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant-Commander on 15 September, 1922.[3]

Mack was promoted to the rank of Commander on 30 June, 1927.[4]

Mack was promoted to the rank of Captain on 31 December, 1934.[5]

World War II

He was appointed in command of the battleship King George V on 6 May, 1942.

Mack was promoted to the rank of Rear-Admiral on 12 January, 1943 and on 25 February, 1943 was appointed for work with Force "V".[6]
