Commander Philip Duke Crofton, O.B.E., R.N., Retired (12 April, 1886 – 4 August, 1954) served in the Royal Navy.

Life & Career

Born in Rochester, his father being retired Captain D. Crofton, R.N..

Crofton was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant on 15 April, 1908.[1]

Crofton was appointed in command of the first-class torpedo boat T.B. 111 on 17 October, 1912.[2]

Crofton was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant-Commander on 15 April, 1916.

Post-War

Crofton was promoted to the rank of Commander on 30 May, 1929.
