Peter McClelland

Commander (retired) Peter McClelland, (30 August, 1882 – 5 May, 1938) served in the Royal Navy.

Life & Career

He was promoted to the rank of Gunner (T) on 11 November, 1911. He was confirmed in the rank of Mate on 3 April, 1914.[1]

McClelland would serve in Quail from December 1913 through 3 August, 1916. He was then appointed to Beagle until she paid off on 25 September, 1917, being promoted to the rank of Lieutenant on 3 April, 1916.[2]

McClelland served just over a month in Penn before being appointed to Vectis in December, 1917.

McClelland was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant-Commander on 3 April, 1924.[3]

McClelland was placed on the Retired List at his own request at the rank of Commander on 23 March, 1927.[4]
