Vice-Admiral (retired) Norton Allen Sulivan, C.V.O. (23 January, 1897 – 30 September, 1964) was an officer of the Royal Navy during the First World War.

Life & Career

In September 1913 while a Commander, Sulivan was appointed in command of the destroyer Hope.[1]

He was in command of the flotilla leader Marksman at the Battle of Jutland, where she was 2nd in command of the Twelfth Destroyer Flotilla.[2]

Sulivan was promoted to the rank of Captain on 30 June, 1917.

In December, 1918, he was one of two men serving as Assistant Directors of Artillery and Torpedoes.[3]

He assumed command of the light cruiser Cordelia on 1 May, 1919.[4]

In 1926, he assumed command of the battlecruiser Renown.
