The Mobilisation Department was the Mobilisation Division for a period during the war.

According to Dr. Nicholas Black, twenty-two Royal Navy officers served in the division during the war.[1]

On 12 February, 1918, the Division once more became a Department of the Admiralty.[2]

In the late 1920s, the office was renamed Manning Department.
