Captain (retired) Maurice Henry Horatio Nelson, C.B.E., R.N. (29 December, 1864 – 23 December, 1942) served in the Royal Navy.

Life & Career

The son of Captain H. M. H. Nelson, R.N. was born in Lyndhurst, Hants.

Nelson was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant in June, 1887.

Nelson was promoted to the rank of Commander in June, 1902.

Post-War

Nelson was placed on the Retired List at the rank of Captain on 29 August, 1919. This was later antedated to 17 November, 1914.
