Commander Lionel Frederick Robinson, M.V.O, D.S.C., R.N. (9 July, 1888 – ) served in the Royal Navy.

Life & Career

Born in Melbourne, Australia.

Robinson was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant on 30 July, 1909.

He was appointed to Lord Clive as first and gunnery officer on 8 May, 1915.

Robinson was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant-Commander on 30 July, 1917.

He was ordered from Lord Clive on 2 December 1918 to go to Neptune for gunnery duties. This lasted only briefly, as he was lent to the Royal Australian Navy as Assistant to Director of Naval Intelligence and DIrector of Naval Ordnance on 8 February, 1919.
