Commander (retired) Leonard Robinson, (21 October, 1881 – ) served in the Royal Navy.

Life & Career

Robinson was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant on 15 June, 1903.

Robinson was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant-Commander on 15 June, 1911. On 1 February, 1913, Robinson was appointed to Blonde as first officer and for wireless duties. On 9 September, he dropped the wireless work to be her gunnery officer. He was superseded in her on 24 April, 1915 and went to the War Staff to take up a role in the Operations Division. Other shore-based postings took him through the end of the war.

Robinson was placed on the Retired List at his own request on 30 September, 1920 and promoted to the rank of Commander (retired) on 21 October, 1921. His final evaluation was from im Thurn and noted his "thorough knowledge of cable telegraph & telephone work. Quick and accurate worker. Did very good work at Washington."

World War II

Reverted 15 September, 1946.
