Captain Lancelot Arthur Wetherell Spooner, O.B.E. (? – 2 September, 1969) Married to Eileen M.A. Spooner, d. 9 June, 1973 in Auckland, N.Z. Father of Derek and Ronald. Died in Hove, Sussex.

Life & Career

Spooner was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant on 30 October, 1905.[1]

Spooner was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant-Commander on 30 October, 1913.[2]

On 31 December, 1917, he was promoted to Commander.[3]

Spooner was Gunnery Officer in the monitor Abercrombie.

Awarded the O.B.E. in the King's Birthday Honours of 23 June, 1936 while serving with the Royal Australian Navy.Template:CatCaptain
