Vice-Admiral John William Leopold McClintock, C.B., D.S.O., Royal Navy (26 July, 1874 – 23 March, 1929) was an officer of the Royal Navy.

Life & Career

McClintock was promoted to the rank of Commander on 1 January, 1905.[1]

He was promoted to the rank of Captain on 30 June, 1912.[2]

Great War

Post-War

McClintock was appointed an Additional Member of the Third Class, or Companion, in the Military Division of the Most Honourable Order of the Bath (C.B.) on 1 January, 1919.[3] He succeeded Captain Frederic C. Dreyer as Director of Naval Artillery and Torpedo on 1 February, 1919.[4]

He was promoted to the rank of Rear-Admiral on 2 July, 1922, vice Brown.[5]

McClintock was promoted to the rank of Vice-Admiral on 3 August, 1927, vice Woollcombe.[6]
