Commander (retired) John Walter Rainier, R.N. (10 September, 1881 – ) served in the Royal Navy.

Life & Career

Rainier was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant on 15 September, 1902.

Rainier was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant-Commander on 15 September, 1910.

Rainier was appointed in command of the armed R.I.M. ship Minto from 18 February, 1918 to 4 January, 1919.

Rainier was placed on the Retired List at his own request with the rank of Commander on 13 October, 1924.

World War II

Died of prostate cancer.
