Captain John Phelips Farquharson (14 June, 1884 – ) served in the Royal Navy.
Life & Career
Farquharson was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant on 1 October, 1906.[1]
Farquharson was appointed to the second class protected cruiser Sappho as gunnery officer on 2 April, 1912, the ship being under the command of Commander Gerald Vivian Cuff Knox and providing particular service to the First Fleet.[2]
Farquharson was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant-Commander on 1 October, 1914.[3]
Farquharson was appointed in command of the yacht Catania on 7 August, 1918.[4]
Farquharson was promoted to the rank of Commander on 31 December, 1918.[5]
On 1 December, 1919, Commander Farquharson was appointed to Gibraltar, additional, for the Anti-Submarine School, Portland.[6]
