Lieutenant-Commander (retired) John Orgee, D.S.C. (15 February, 1880 – ) served in the Royal Navy.

Life & Career

Orgee was promoted to the rank of Gunner on 13 March, 1909. He qualified in navigation on 12 December, 1912 and served as a navigator in Speedy and Leda in 1913 – 1915.

From mid-1916 through about September 1918 he was in the troop ship Lawrence.

Orgee was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant on 1 March, 1918.[1] He was appointed in command of the minesweeper Abingdon on 1 October, 1918.

He retired at his own request on 9 January, 1920 and was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant-Commander on 1 March, 1926.
