Captain John Miles Steel, G.C.B., K.B.E., C.M.G., R.N. (11 September, 1877 – 2 December, 1965) was an officer in the Royal Navy and the Royal Naval Air Service.

Steel was promoted to the rank of Captain on 31 December, 1916.[Citation needed]
