Commander (retired) John Kenneth Beaufoy Birch (29 August, 1880 – ) was an officer in the Royal Navy.

Life & Career

Birch was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant on 31 December, 1902.[1]

Birch was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant-Commander on 31 December, 1910.[2]

Birch was appointed as gunnery officer and as an interpreter to the armoured cruiser Duke of Edinburgh on 3 March, 1914[3] and fought in her at the Battle of Jutland of the First Cruiser Squadron.

Birch was appointed as gunnery officer and as an interpreter to the light cruiser Dartmouth on 14 September, 1917 and served through at least the end of the war.[4]
