Captain John Harvey, C.B.E., R.N. (1 June, 1873 – 13 December, 1947) served in the Royal Navy.

Life & Career

Harvey gained six months' time on passing out of Britannia.

Harvey was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant on 1 October, 1895.

Harvey was appointed in command of the paddle river gunboat Herald from 25 August, 1899 to 5 December, 1901.

Harvey was promoted to the rank of Commander on 30 June, 1906.[1]

Harvey was appointed in command of the composite paddle vessel Sphinx from 30 July, 1909 to 19 December, 1911.

Harvey was promoted to the rank of Captain on 31 December, 1917.
