Vice-Admiral John Clark Soady, (18 April, 1828 – 7 March, 1889) served in the Royal Navy.

His son, also named John Clark Soady, also served in the Navy.

Life & Career

Soady was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant in 1851.

Soady was promoted to the rank of Commander on 9 December, 1858.

Soady was promoted to the rank of Captain in October, 1865.

Soady was promoted to the rank of Rear-Admiral on 9 September, 1879.

Soady was promoted to the rank of Vice-Admiral in November, 1885. He died in Warrington Gardens in London on 7 March 1889.
