Lieutenant James Winstanley Pochin, R.N. (22 June, 1862 – 19 October, 1904) served in the Royal Navy.
Life & Career
Born in Barrow-on-Tyne the son of Captain Pochin.
Pochin was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant on 31 December, 1884.
Pochin was awarded the Royal Humane Society's Silver Medal in July 1888.
Pochin was last seen between 2 and 3pm on 19 October 1904 while out shooting. He was presumed to have drowned on the 19th or 20th, and his body was eventually found.
