Captain James Abernethy McCoy, D.S.O. (17 June, 1900 – 9 March, 1955) served in the Royal Navy.

Life & Career

The son of solicitor J. A. McCoy, Esq..[1]

McCoy was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant on 15 October, 1920.[2]

McCoy was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant-Commander on 15 October, 1928.[3]

McCoy was promoted to the rank of Commander on 30 June, 1935.[4]

World War II

McCoy was promoted to the rank of Captain on 30 June, 1941.[5]

He was placed on the Retired List on 7 July, 1950.[6]
