Paymaster Commander Hughes Campbell Lockyer, (2 September, 1902 – 17 November, 1971) was an officer in the Royal Navy in the Paymaster branch.
He was named for his father, Captain Hughes Campbell Lockyer, C.B..
Life & Career
Lockyer was born in Nova Scotia while his father was serving as navigating officer in H.M.S. Irresistible.
Lockyer was promoted to the rank of Paymaster Commander with seniority of 30 June, 1939.[1]
He is buried in Cornwall, England with his wife under a headstone inscribed, "Steadfast".[2]
