Henry Venn Wood Elliott ( – ) was an officer in the Royal Navy.

Life & Career

He was promoted to the rank of Captain on 30 June, 1904.

He attempted the Royal Navy War College, in October, 1904 but his results were not recorded. He again attended from 11 February 1908 when he did not complete the course.

In December 1905, he assumed command of the destroyer Encounter.[1]

He was appointed command of the battleship Hannibal on 11 August, 1908.[2]

He made a final effort at the War College from 3 March to 20 June, 1913 where was placed eighth out of nine captains and received a critical evaluation.
