Admiral Henry John Carr, Royal Navy, Retired (6 July, 1839 – 18 July, 1914) was an officer of the Royal Navy.

Life & Career

Carr was promoted to the rank of Captain on 31 October, 1879.[1]

Carr was appointed in command of H.M.S. Terror as senior officer at Bermuda on 1 January, 1892.[2] He was appointed Admiral Superintendent of Devonport Dockyard on 3 November, 1896.[3]

Carr was promoted to the rank of Vice-Admiral on the Retired List on 1 January, 1901,[4] and was advanced to the rank of Admiral on the Retired List on 16 June, 1904.[5]
