Commander (retired) Henry Chalker Durrant Field, R.N. (19 July, 1880 – ) was an officer in the Royal Navy.
Life & Career
Field was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant on 1 April, 1902.
Field was appointed to the battleship Magnificent on service with the Channel Fleet from 16 July 1904 through 5 November, 1906.
Field was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant-Commander on 1 April, 1910.
Field was appointed in command of the destroyer Harpy on 31 July, 1912.[1]
Field was appointed in command of the third class protected cruiser Proserpine on 14 January, 1914.[2]
Field was placed on the Retired List at his own request at the rank of Commander on 4 November, 1923.
World War II
Served in shore-based appointments and reverted to the Retired List in 1942.
