Life & Career

While serving in Dido, on 3 November, 1899 he injured his left knee and had to return the England to obtain treatment in Haslar Hospital.[2]

In 1901, the Vice-Admiral of the Channel Squadron logged Sulivan as being responsible for the lost of the pinnace of H.M.S. Repulse through "neglect of duty."[3]

Sulivan was promoted to the rank of Captain on 30 June, 1917.[10]

On 1 July, 1918, Sulivan was appointed in command of the depot ship Woolwich.[11]

Sulivan was appointed in command of the light cruiser Curlew in June, 1921.
