H.M. T.B. 77 was one of 53 first-class torpedo boats of the 125 Footer class.

Service

Collided with and sank her sister T.B. 75 on 8 August, 1892 during operations in the Maidens.[6]

In 1895, she was one of twenty-three torpedo boats of at least 125 feet in length stationed in Portsmouth along with four smaller ones.[7]

She was commissioned on 8 July 1896 in order to participate in the Annual Manoeuvres of 1896, but I have been unable to find who was her captain.[8][9][10]

She was reboilered during 1905, and was recommissioned at Sheerness on July 1 with a nucleus crew.[11]

Around 1906-1907, with the issuance of torpedo boat numbers to the first of the Cricket class torpedo boats, the existing Torpedo Boats numbered 25 to 79 had a "0" prepended to their number. This vessel, therefore, became T.B. 077.[12]

She was damaged through grounding under the command of Gunner James Hill in April, 1912.

Sold to Stanlee of Dover on 27 March, 1920.[13]
