H.M. T.B. 35 (1885)
Builder: J. S. White[1]
Launched: 1885[2]
Broken up: 1919[3]
H.M. T.B. 35 was one of 53 first-class torpedo boats of the 125 Footer class.

Around 1906-1907, with the issuance of torpedo boat numbers to the first of the Cricket class torpedo boats, the existing Torpedo Boats numbered 25 to 79 had a "0" prepended to their number. This vessel, therefore, became T.B. 035.[4]

Service

In 1895, she was one of six first-class T.B.s stationed at Hong Kong.[5]

In July, 1904, complaints from Vice-Admiral Noel of the China Station about the condition of his T.B.s and T.B.D.s prompted a review of his assets by First Lord of the Admiralty Selborne. Within, it was noted that T.B.s 35-38 had never been re-boilered, but that they should remain functional until new boilers from J. & S. White were available.[6]

By 1913 T.B. 035 had been reduced to miscellaneous duties at Hong Kong, her officers being borne either in the receiving ship Tamar or the battleship Triumph.[7]

In January 1915, she was serving on the West River Patrol at Hong Kong.[8]
