Builder: Chatham Royal Dockyard[2]
Launched: 7 Jun, 1917[3]

H.M.S. Zubian was a playfully-named destroyer created by joining the forward section of the mined Zulu to the aft part of the Nubian, which had been torpedoed. The result was a serviceably spliced craft which one might call one of the "Tribals".

Service

On 4 February, 1918, she sank the UC 50 while under the command of Lt. Henry James Hartnoll.[6][7]

In July of 1918, Zubian was serving in the Sixth Destroyer Flotilla, part of the Dover Patrol.

By May 1919, Zubian was among 33 ships listed as awaiting sale.[8]
