H.M.S. Volage was one of three Volage Class corvettes completed for the Royal Navy.

Service

Commissioned at Portsmouth, 21 September, 1885.[6]

Volage participated in the Annual Manoeuvres of 1890 under the command of Captain William A. D. Acland as part of Squadron 4, whose role in the scenario is difficult to discern in a contemporary newspaper account.[7]

The vessel participated in the Jubilee Naval Review and possibly the Annual Manoeuvres of 1897.[8]
