H.M.S. Vimiera was one of twenty-five "V" class destroyers completed for the Royal Navy in 1917-18.

Service

In August, 1917, Vimiera was assigned to the Thirteenth Destroyer Flotilla.[6] She commissioned on 5 September, 1917.[7]

She was reduced to Reserve at Chatham on 7 October, 1920.[8]

Vimiera was re-commissioned at Chatham with Reserve Crew on 15 August, 1924. By March 1925, she was attached to the Fifth Destroyer Flotilla in the Mediterranean.[9]

She re-commissioned at the Nore on 25 January, 1927 and was assigned to First Destroyer Flotilla in the Mediterranean.[10]

The ship was re-commissioned at the Nore on 25 January, 1927.[11]

Vimiera completed to full complement on 11 June, 1929 for work with the First Destroyer Flotilla in the Mediterranean.[12]

Re-commissioned at Chatham on 29 December, 1931 for continued service with the First Destroyer Flotilla in the Mediterranean.[13]

Vimiera was reduced to Maintenance Reserve at Rosyth on 8 May, 1933.[14]
