H.M.S. Vestal (1865)
Builder: Pembroke Royal Dockyard[1]
Launched: 16 Nov, 1865[2]
Sold: 1884[3]
H.M.S. Vestal was one of six Amazon Class wooden screw sloops completed for the Royal Navy.

Construction & Service

In November 1865, the steam storeship H.M.S. Fox loaded four boilers, condensers and related machinery at Woolwich to convey to Pembroke for installation in Vestal.[4]

Vestal vacated the #3 dock in Keyham Steamyard so it could be taken up by the steam screwship Lord Clyde.[5]
