H.M.S. Tumult was one of sixty-seven "S" class destroyers built for the Royal Navy as the Great War was ending.

Service

Tumult was re-commissioned at Malta on 17 June, 1920, and again on 6 September 1921.[6]

She was re-commissioned in Reserve at Chatham on 8 January, 1924.[7]
