H.M.S. Suffolk was one of seven Kent Class cruisers completed for the Royal Navy.

Service

Completed to full crew at Portsmouth on 7 February, 1928.[6]

She re-commissioned at Portsmouth on 2 September, 1930 and proceeded to the China Station bearing the Commander-in-Chief, Vice-Admiral William A. H. Kelly and to operate with the Fifth Cruiser Squadron.[7]
