H.M.S. Splendid was one of sixty-seven "S" class destroyers built for the Royal Navy as the Great War was ending.
Service
Splendid was recommissioned at Chatham on 15 May, 1920.[6]
She re-commissioned at Chatham with reduced crew on 29 November, 1923. By March 1925 she was operating in the Mediterrean.[7]
Splendid was re-commissioned at Gibraltar on 15 May, 1926 for service in the Mediterranean.[8]
She re-commissioned at Gibraltar on 24 November, 1928 for service in the Mediterranean.[9]
