Service

Radio

As of 1901, while serving in the Mediterranean, she was slated to receive a "1 to 52" W/T set.[8]

Torpedoes

In October – November 1898, the ship became one of the first in the Royal Navy to receive torpedoes fitted for gyroscopes, drawn from the Portsmouth Depot. Though there were four torpedoes, only two gyros were initially supplied:[9]
