H.M.S. Rocket was one of sixty-two "R" class destroyers completed for the Royal Navy in 1916-17.

Service

Rocket was assigned to the Fifteenth Destroyer Flotilla in October, 1916, as it was still building up to strength.[8]

She completed to reduced complement on 17 October, 1919.[9]

Rocket re-commissioned on 1 January, 1923 for service with the Anti-Submarine Flotilla at Portland.[10]

Rocket re-commissioned on 1 July, 1925 at Portsmouth for service with the Anti-Submarine Flotilla at Portland.[11]

In August of 1925, Rocket, along with Raider, Redgauntlet and Retriever of the Portland Anti-Submarine Flotilla were selected to be scrapped.[12]
