H.M.S. Reindeer was one of six Mariner Class screw sloops completed for the Royal Navy.

Service

Commissioned at Devonport 4 December, 1884 under command of George L. Atkinson.[4]

Reindeer was re-commissioned at Bombay on 8 April, 1888. In early 1891, she was in transit home to Devonport.[5]
