H.M.S. Penelope was one of eight Arethusa class light cruisers completed for the [{Royal Navy]].

Service

Penelope commissioned on 10 December, 1914.[9]

Reduced to C. & M. Party at the Nore on 29 June, 1920.[10]

Alterations

Penelope was fitted with a director in April, 1917. This alteration required her pole mast to be replaced with a tripod mast for greater rigidity.[11]
