Career

Pelorus commissioned at Chatham on 30 March, 1897, under the command of Captain Edward H. Bayly.[1]

At the outbreak of the Great War, Pelorus joined Cruiser Force F of the Channel Fleet before being sent to join Cruiser Force E.[2]
