H.M.S. Nymphe was one of four Nymphe Class screw sloops completed for the Royal Navy.

She was renamed Wildfire in 1906, Gannet in 1916, and finally became H.M.S. Pembroke in 1917.

Service

Nymphe was commissioned at Portsmouth on 3 July, 1889.[7]

Nymphe's captain, Cdr. Henry James Daniel Laxton was thought to have been at fault after she collided with the screw sloop Basilisk around early 1901.
