Career
Natal was commissioned by Captain Stuart Nicholson at Chatham on 5 March, 1907, for service in the Fifth Cruiser Squadron.[7]
She recommissioned at Sheerness on 17 September, 1912.[8]
Alterations
In October 1914, the ship was to be given 13 Pattern 1582 Electric Radiators to warm cabins whose stoves could not be used for heating them.[9]
