H.M.S. Medway was completed to navy order as a submarine depot ship.
There was an destroyer named H.M.S. Medway launched in 1916.
Service
She was commissioned at Barrow-in-Furness on 3 July, 1929.[2]
Medway proceeded to the China Station after she was commissioned by Colin Cantlie in July 1929. Upon her arrival there, Cantlie became Captain (S) of the Fourth Submarine Flotilla.
In World War II, Medway was sent to the Mediterranean. She was torpedoed in 1942.
