H.M.S. M 22 was one of 19 "M" class monitors completed for the Royal Navy.

In 1925, she was renamed H.M.S. Medea.

Service

The monitor paid off at Malta, 28 October, 1919.[8]

Commissioned at Devonport on 28 July, 1920.[9]

She was re-commissioned as H.M.S. Medea at Portsmouth on 25 March, 1927.[10]

Medea was reduced to Reserve Complement on 17 January, 1936.[11]
