H.M.S. Liffey was one of 36 destroyers of the "River" class.

Service

In mid-1906, she was with the Channel Fleet's Third Destroyer Flotilla.

In 1910, she was in the Second Destroyer Flotilla.

In mid-1913, she was active with the Ninth Destroyer Flotilla, a patrol flotilla.[7]

Around September 1917 she moved to the Seventh Destroyer Flotilla.

In January, 1918 she was one of eight "Rivers" to move to the First Destroyer Flotilla.
