H.M.S. Laburnum was one of twenty-four Acacia Class sweeping sloops completed for the Royal Navy.

Service

Laburnum operated with the First Sloop Flotilla from September, 1915 through mid-1917 before being moved to support the Northern DIvision of the Coast of Ireland, until late 1918 when she briefly rejoined the First.

From 1923 through approximately 1934, she and Veronica operated from New Zealand.[6]

Laburnum was re-commissioned at Auckland on 18 March, 1924.[7]

She re-commissioned at Auckland on 11 January, 1927.[8]

She re-commissioned at Auckland on 7 June, 1930[9] and again on 2 November, 1931.[10]

She re-commissioned on 12 April, 1934 for service out of New Zealand.[11]
